He graduated in Biology from the University of Santiago de Compostela in 2022. Between 2022 and 2023, he completed the Interuniversity Master’s in Genomics and Genetics (University of Santiago de Compostela, University of Vigo), receiving a research initiation grant during the same period to develop his first project, focused on modeling viral infections in zebrafish.
Since 2024, he has been a predoctoral student in the PhD Program in Advances in Microbial and Parasitic Biology, holding a predoctoral research training contract (FPI). His work focuses on the genomic study of the bacterium Photobacterium damselae subsp. piscicida, one of the most threatening species for Mediterranean aquaculture, aiming to explore biotechnological applications for the design of prevention and diagnostic methods.
