The iARCUS research group has a broad and diverse range of scientific and technical capabilities and knowledge. This diversity allows them to approach aquatic research, both in natural environments and in aquaculture, with a comprehensive perspective.
This approach is what justifies its scientific and technological vision, known as Aquatic One Health.
Areas of specialization
Their experience encompasses pathology and disease prevention in aquatic animals, epidemiology, biotechnology, genomics, and resource utilization. They also work on improving growth and reproduction, as well as on quality, food safety, and monitoring of chemical contamination.
In addition, they use animal models in biomedical research to assess risks and substances of interest. Their expertise also extends to environmental education and knowledge transfer.
